I have always been attracted to blue and white colors. There is something bright, crisp, and pure about the combination.
Many of the items shown below pick up from and/or interpret designs from blue and white Chinese porcelains. Blue and white porcelain became popular in the Tang dynasty (618-907) when cobalt blue was imported from Persia.
